Warm and attentive, Eleanor became a Clinical Psychologist with the aim of providing a safe space for individuals to express, discover, nurture, and heal themselves.
She holds qualifications from the University of Adelaide, including, a Bachelor of Psychological Science, a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), and a Master of Psychology (Clinical). Eleanor has worked with adults throughout all stages of their life, including in the public sector, in not-for-profit organisations, and in both research and education institutions.
Eleanor takes a holistic and strengths-focused approach to therapy, providing her patients with a safe, meaningful, and empowering therapeutic environment. She has a strong understanding of practicing trauma-informed care and recognising the mind-body connection. Focusing on delicately balancing validation and change principles, Eleanor’s therapeutic approach allows individuals to present as they are and receive kindness, compassion, and non-judgement.
Eleanor draws upon a variety of evidence-based and contemporary therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema-Informed Therapy, Polyvagal-Informed Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Mindfulness practices.
