Isla is a Registered Psychologist and endorsed Organisational Psychologist, holding a Master’s degree in Psychology (Organisational and Human Factors) from the University of Adelaide and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from the University of South Australia.

With a calm and accepting approach, Isla quickly establishes rapport and fosters a deep and trusting connection with her clients. She takes a collaborative and bespoke approach to therapy by helping her clients to openly express and understand their thoughts, feelings and values; cultivating their natural curiosity to explore and learn; harnessing their strengths; and empowering them to become ‘the expert in their own life’.

Isla utilises a variety of evidence-based techniques, practices and tools to help her clients achieve real and sustainable change and reach their therapeutic goals, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy as well as Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Mindfulness.

Isla works with adults, adolescents and children helping them to navigate through life stages and events and address presenting issues including anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship issues.

As a mother of two, Isla has a deep understanding of the perinatal period, which fuels her special interest in perinatal mental health. This experience allows her to offer compassionate and informed support, addressing the unique needs that come with this stage of life. She supports people through the pre-conception journey, loss, and their mental health both during pregnancy and into the newborn phase and beyond.

Isla also has a special interest in neurodivergence, particularly with children and adolescents.
