Alanah is a registered provisional psychologist who holds a Master of Professional Psychology from the Institute for Social Neuroscience. Alanah’s undergraduate psychological qualifications include a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) and Bachelor of Psychological Science at Adelaide University.
Warm and intuitive, Alanah takes a collaborative and holistic approach to therapy creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental therapeutic space where her clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. Alanah’s practice is grounded in empathy, flexibility, and authenticity, allowing her to establish trust, build strong therapeutic relationships, and empower her clients to navigate their challenges, build resilience, achieve personal growth and reach their therapeutic goals.
Alanah’s therapeutic work is informed by evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Alanah tailors her interventions to meet her client’s unique needs, with a focus on building resilience, enhancing self-awareness, and supporting long-term well-being. Alanah believes that everyone has the ability to reach their full potential and is dedicated to creating the opportunity for this to occur and providing the guidance and support needed along the way.
Alanah works with individuals across the lifespan experiencing a range of emotional and psychological challenges including anxiety, depression, mood difficulties, life transitions and events, stress and burnout, and general psychological well-being. She has a special interest in supporting children and adolescents and has extensive experience working with individuals living with disabilities – an area she feels passionate about and deeply connected to.
Alanah performs psychological assessments and is skilled in conducting evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Learning Difficulties. She is committed to helping her clients understand, explore and embrace their neurodivergent identity.
