Susanna Torbet is a Registered Psychologist who holds a Master’s degree in Organisational Psychology from the University of Queensland and undergraduate qualifications from the University of Adelaide including, a Bachelor of Psychological Science and Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours).

Warm, friendly, caring and empathetic, Susanna is dedicated to creating a relaxed and compassionate therapeutic environment for her clients to share and work through any difficulties or challenges they may be experiencing. Susanna takes a flexible and collaborative approach to therapy, which involves treating her clients with empathy and respect, building a trusting therapeutic relationship with her clients, and empowering her clients to develop the skills and strategies needed to navigate life’s challenges and achieve their desired therapeutic outcomes.

Susanna draws upon a variety of evidence-based and contemporary therapeutic modalities in her therapy sessions, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Self-Compassion/ Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Mindfulness and Positive Psychology Principles.

Susanna primarily works with adults of all ages throughout all stages in life. She has a particular interest in anxiety, depression and mood-related disorders, stress and burnout, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, and transitions and adjustment to life changes and events.

With qualifications and previous experience in organisational psychology, including providing on-site counselling services to support men and women in the workplace, Susanna has an indepth understanding of occupational stress and burnout, work difficulties, and work/life balance challenges.
