Taylor is a registered provisional psychologist who completed her undergraduate and honours degree in psychology (cognitive neuroscience) at the University of South Australia, and her Master of Professional Psychology at La Trobe University. Taylor is also currently enrolled in the Master of Advanced Professional Psychology at La Trobe University. Taylor is trained in both Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Trauma Focused CBT.
Taylor is a kind and compassionate individual who creates a welcoming and safe environment for her patients to explore issues impacting their mental health. Taylor maintains both a therapeutic and research background to allow for an evidence-based approach and client-focused therapy to create effective treatment plans for her clients.
Taylor has a particular interest in the psychophysiology of sleep, neuroscience across the lifespan, helping patients with concerns related to PTSD, anxiety, mood difficulties, grief and loss. Taylor has completed research in the effectiveness of prolonged exposure therapy on patients suffering PTSD. Taylor has also completed her thesis on the recovery of cognitive deficits associated with sleep disordered breathing in children, which is predicted by spectral arousal profiles in sleep. Taylor has special interest in working with children, adolescents and adults and provides compassionate support for general stressors, mental health concerns and overall well-being.
